Prostate Cancer Update

Tour de Cure has made a huge contribution to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia donating a total of $500k to the Thera-P trial over the past 3 years. PCFA is a community organisation dedicated to reducing the impact of a prostate cancer diagnosis on Australian men, their partners and family.

The Thera-P trials have been run at 10 Australian Cancer Centres across the country, involving more than 200 patients and is at the world forefront of the fight against prostate cancer. According to Study Chair Professor Michael Hofman, 'This clinical trial provides compelling evidence that Lu-PMSA represents a new class of effective therapy for men with advanced prostate cancer. The ability to see what you treat by using the same molecule for both scanning and treatment is remarkable.'

Tour de Cure's Matt Clarke met with CEO Jeff Dun and Prostate Cancer Nursing Program Lead, Sally Sara a few weeks ago for our webinar series 'Cancer doesn't sleep and neither do we' to chat about prostate cancer, the Thera-P clinical trial and the PCFA nursing program. Check out the link above to catch up on this interesting conversation.
